The Hilo Bay Dance Club welcomes
all dancers
Our club motto is "Dancing in the Rain" and our
goal is to have fun, learn some new steps and enjoy dancing.
Social dancing is
taught in a relaxed and easy manner.
HBDC is a non-profit teaching organization run by volunteers.
Annual membership is $10 per year per person.
We are located in
the downtown Hilo Elk's lodge, at
150 Kinoole Street, (see map on the information page).
Parking is in the rear of the building and is
accessible via Ululani Street, just past the YWCA.
HBDC classes are
taught on Tuesdays from 7.00 - 9.00 pm, and the
cost for 10 sessions is only $5.00. That's only 50 cents per
class!
Practice nights are
Fridays, same time, same place. The first 30 minutes are
devoted to a review of the steps being taught in class, and open
dancing follows from 7:30 to 9:00 pm.
Pupu Dances are held twice during each quarter ( the 5th and the
10th weeks) from 7.00 to 10.00 pm.
For current
schedule of classes and steps being taught,
please follow the link to the schedule page.
